Booking and Access
How can I book?
Bookings can be made through our online booking portal. Simply select your desired date,
time, and studio space.
Can I arrive early to set up?
Early access is not permitted. To maintain the space at a high standard for every client, you
must include all setup and breakdown time within your booked hours.
Do you take last-minute bookings?
Yes, subject to availability. Check our booking portal or contact us directly for same-day or
short-notice bookings.
Can I extend my booking on the day?
If the space is available, you can extend your session. Overtime will be charged according to
our standard rates.
Do you offer discounts for longer or recurring bookings?
Yes. We offer discounted rates for multi-day, or recurring bookings. Please
email info@submergedspaces.com for a custom quote.
Facilities and Accessibility
Is there parking?
Yes. On-street parking is available outside Wellington House, and we have one private
parking spaces directly outside our studio.
Are the studios accessible?
Yes.
Our XL Studio (including the Coved, Blackout Room, Corner space and Industrial space) is on
the ground floor with door and shutter access.
Is there a changing area or makeup station?
Yes. We provide a designated space for makeup, hair, and outfit changes with professional
mirrors and seating.
Can I store items at the studio?
Yes. We offer overnight storage at £60 per day. Contact us in advance to arrange.
Studio Spaces and Equipment.
What is the difference between the Cove and the XL Studio?
The Cove, Blackout Room, Corner and Industrial Space can be booked individually or all
together as the XL Package. These are 3 Large studio spaces that are part of the XL
Studio Space.
If booking just one area, note that shared spaces may be in use by other clients.
Are lights included and will they be set up?
If you’ve hired lighting equipment, our team will have it ready for your arrival.
Can I bring my own equipment?
Yes, you’re welcome to bring your own gear. Please ensure it is PAT tested and safe for
indoor use.
Do you provide backdrops?
Yes. Backdrops are an optional add-on.
Select your preferred backdrop during the booking process and let us know in advance
which one you’d like. We have a wide range of paper options.
Do you allow live streaming or tethered shooting?
Yes. Please notify us in advance so we can assist with setup and ensure any technical
needs (e.g. Wi-Fi bandwidth) are met.
Creative Services
Do you provide a photographer, videographer, or stylist?
Yes, we are a studio hire space. However, we also have photographers and videographer
available for hire. Email info@submergedspaces.com.
What should I bring to my shoot?
Please bring any props, wardrobe, and creatives you’ve arranged. If you’ve added
equipment or extras through us, they’ll be ready for you upon arrival.
Policies and Restrictions
Is food and drink allowed in the studio?
Yes, but food and drink must be kept away from equipment and shooting areas. Alcohol is
only permitted with prior written approval.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are only allowed if agreed in advance and must be always supervised. Service animals
are always welcome.
Do you allow music or playback during shoots?
Yes. You may bring your own speaker or use our Bluetooth sound system, which can be
used within our premises.
What happens if I damage anything?
Any damage to the studio or equipment will be assessed and billed for repair or
replacement, along with a 25% admin fee. We recommend carrying your own insurance for
full protection.
Are minors allowed at the studio?
Yes. Any minor under 16 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or licensed
chaperone. Parental permission is required for them to be photographed or filmed.
